This site is a work in progress and will serve as a place for me to record (almost) everything I learn.
If you’d like to know how I made this site, you can check out the resources I used to not only set up, but write the website:
- Jekyll Now is a repository on GitHub which contains a pre-configured blog website. Because it is pre-configured, it is very user friendly and easy to install.
- GitHub Pages makes creating a website using a GitHub repository super easy and simple. In combination with Jekyll Now, you can create and edit your website in a matter of minutes.
- Markdown is used to edit and create pages on your site. You may be thinking “But Sean, aren’t website pages written in HTML?” and you’d be right. However, Jekyll works by converting your markdown into HTML so you should use this tutorial to learn everything you need to about markdown.
If you use these 3 tools correctly, perhaps you could make a website as cool as mine.
